Lucy is a titled Australian Physiotherapy Association Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. This is a specialised area within physiotherapy that focuses on accurate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Musculoskeletal injuries are injuries to joints, muscles, bones and/or nerves. Common conditions treated are neck and back pain, and shoulder, hip and knee injuries.
Lucy takes a special interested in lower back injuries, shoulder injuries and pregnancy related pain. As a strong believer of proper education and self management strategies, Lucy believes that all patients should be empowered to take charge of their own injuries. Manual therapy treatment techniques such as joint mobilisation or manipulation and massage to restore normal function are used in conjunction with rehabilitation exercises and advice.
Lucy has also completed post graduate studies on pelvic floor physiotherapy which allows her to look after all aspects of women’s health concerns.
