Karen completed degrees in behavioural science and criminology, followed by an honours degree in psychology and a masters of applied science (research) in psychology. Karen has spent the last ten years providing support, assessment and specialist services to individuals, including those with intellectual disabilities and Autism. Karen supervises several probationary psychologists.
Karen offers expertise in evidence-based therapies that result in a reduction in symptoms of a range of conditions including anxiety and depression. Karen employs a range of techniques such as desensitisation, exposure therapy, the practice of mindfulness based activities and relaxation to help individuals identify and take control of their anxiety. Karen has appointments available on Mondays at Deception Bay/Burpengary and Fridays at Clontarf.
