Jhooma has in excess of 15 years’ experience working in the field of mental health and is a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Psychology. She has worked in many settings including private practice, primary and secondary schools, medical clinics and has also worked overseas as a psychologist.
Jhooma works with all age groups from children to adults and draws on a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioual Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centred Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy. She is committed to working alongside her clients to establish a safe space for them and to help discover the best possible outcome for them.
Jhooma’s areas of interest include working with children and teens, anxiety, depression, relationship and adjustment problems, grief and loss, couples’ therapy, separated/blended families, communication issues and stress management.
