Dr Vanessa Palmer is a Specialist Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology. She undertook her medical training at the University of Queensland and worked at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. She was awarded The Australasian College of Dermatologists Research Fellowship at St John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London, UK, where she undertook further training in specialist clinics including genetics (including a specialized Epidermolysis Bullosa clinic), paediatric, cutaneous lymphoma, severe psoriasis and severe eczema services, photobiology and hidradenitis suppurativa clinics. She spent the final years of her specialist training in Melbourne at St Vincents Hospital Fitzroy, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Austin Hospital Heidelberg, Box Hill Hospital and the Skin and Cancer Foundation, Carlton.
