Clare Calderwood is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about empowering people to effect change in their lives. She uses evidence-based treatment approaches in a kind and curious manner, and enjoys building a trusting, collaborative relationship with each of her clients. She has a particular interest in anxiety, excessive worry, sleep issues, depression, and adjustment to big life changes.
Clare has clinical experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, universities, and a specialist anxiety clinic. She has tutored undergraduate psychology students in clinical psychology and given lectures on anxiety. Her research into emotion regulation and hormones has been published.
Clare utilises evidence-based treatments tailored to each client, drawing on strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and schema therapy.
