Recently moved from New Zealand having spent over 5 years working and managing a Physio and Pilates clinic in Auckland. Originally from Ireland I have a strong musculoskeletal and orthopaedic background having worked with sports teams and in private practise since graduation.
I place a strong emphasis on functional rehab, manual treatments and patient education linked to postural awareness using the Pilates principles. I completed my dry needling and acupuncture post grad course in New Zealand 4 years ago and although I greatly enjoyed my time there I have moved to Melbourne in search of a new challenge to further progress my career.
I have participated in sports from a young age which has made me appreciate the value of physiotherapy in both my life and the lives of my patients. I have found these sports have helped me greatly in my communication and leadership skills as well as enabling me to relate better to our elite athletic clients as well as our keen amateur sportsmen & women
